Why we are starting Meetscape in Karachi, not everywhere at once

Universities, societies and brands in Karachi: let’s build this together

Every social app faces the same cold-start problem. If you open it and the nearest plan is two hours away, or happened last month, you close it and never come back. A community product is only as good as the plans happening near you this week.

That is why Meetscape is launching in one city first, and going deep before going wide.

Why density beats reach

A thousand engaged members in one city create more value than a hundred thousand scattered across a country. When people live close enough to show up, plans fill, groups form and friendships repeat. That is what makes people come back.

Why Karachi

  • It is young, ambitious and social, with a huge population of students and early-career professionals.
  • It has a real appetite for experiences: padel, food, music, trips up north, startup events.
  • It is short on easy, safe ways to meet new people outside work and family.
  • It is where we live, so we can be at the first plans ourselves.

How we are building it

Neighbourhood by neighbourhood and community by community. We are working with university societies, clubs, courts, venues and creators who already bring people together, and giving them a simple, safe way to host plans that new people can join.

What it means for early members

Early members get first access to plans, events and trips, and a real say in what we build. The plans people ask for most become our first plans.

If you run a society, club, venue or community in Karachi and want to host with us, write to hello@meetscape.app.
